Gospel rescue Mission

Sheltering Men

The Gospel Rescue Mission is for homeless and at-risk men, as overnight guests.  No Application required.

  • Opens at 3:30 p.m. daily

  • First 3 nights per month are free, then it’s $7 per night

  • Shower, fresh change of clothes, clean bed

  • Dinner, breakfast, and a snack

  • Evening chapel, plus available counseling and spiritual guidance

Life Learning Program

RESIDENTIAL:
Men & Women

The comprehensive, values-based approach provides direction, encouragement, and accountability for residents as they live their lives under the leadership of Jesus Christ seeking to recover from their addictions, destructive lifestyles, and homelessness.

  • Located on our central campus

  • Meets the needs of the whole person – body, mind, soul

  • Safe and structured 7-24 month program

  • Food, shelter . . . . and accredited preschool for children of resident moms

  • Academic education (GED and beyond),opportunities for college, trade school, ministry training, and an introductory Certified Maintenance Technician course

  • Life skills training (anger management, budgeting, parenting, decision making, etc.)

  • Spiritual growth – Family Integrity Training, Bible studies, church, and chapel

  • Paid internships to gain work experience, reintroduction to the work environment

  • Resume building, job hunting, interviewing, Work Life and Faith and Finances training

HOPE Centers

Located at each of our thrift stores – Brandon, Plant City, Lakeland, Winter Haven – these centers minister to those in need across west central Florida.

  • Prayer, spiritual support, identification of needs

  • Material aid may include food, clothing, household items, children’s toys, furniture

  • Free case management, plus referral services

Thrift Stores

We accept donated goods like clothing, furniture, and household items, then offer the items at low prices.  Proceeds help fund our resident interns who exercise industry by working there.

Community Homeless Intervention

This program provides dedicated case managers, resources and aid to prevent families from becoming homeless.

Preschool

Family Life Center

We offer a preschool program for children.

  • Young children of our resident moms attend our onsite accredited preschool

  • Parents outside the resident Life Learning Program may enroll their young children on a space available, fee for service basis

  • We also offer a kidcare after school program for older children: homework, tutoring, and tech skills within our Hobbs Foundation Kids Technical Center, as well as counseling, peer interaction, games and crafts
