THE CHALLENGE:

Due to the increase needs of neighbors in our communities, we need to raise $100,000!  As families have suffered financial hardships due to loss of jobs and home foreclosure we see more opportunities to serve those needs.

THE NEED:

Women and children are the most recent casualties of rising poverty and homelessness in Central Florida.  Comprehensive care for these individuals is what is needed.  Due to staffing and other needs, we have a waiting list.

According to a Plant City housing authority employee 25 families a day are turned away for housing assistance.  There are 1884 children who are homeless in polk county.  There are 40,000 homeless people in a 50 mile radius of our campus

THE HISTORY:

For 34 Years, Lighthouse Ministries has worked to uncover the amazing, God-given potential of the homeless.  Thousands have become productive citizens through our Bible-based recovery programs.  Our long history of success puts us in a unique position to help families get on their feet.

YOUR PARTICIPATION:

Your participation will provide one-stop comprehensive care to develop individuals spiritually, in community, in industry, and through education.  How you can help:

Group Challenge: 100 groups $10 a day to raise $1000
Individual Challenge: $1 for 100 days for $100

WHO CAN JOIN: YOU!

Groups or individuls of any kind can be involved.  Groups simply need a Team Name, Team Leader, and nine additional participants!  Be creative.  For example:

Email Groups, Church Groups, Youth Groups, Sunday School Classes, Cell Groups, Scouts, Homeschoolers, Vacation Bible Schools, Civic Groups, Businesses, Restaurants, Athletic Groups, Fitness Centers, Salons, Employees, Association Groups, Political Groups, Departments, Divisions, and more can work together to raise $1,000 a team!
